Originally Built by one of Ceylon’s great British governors- Sir Edward Barnes as his private residence, this colonial hotel, true to its name, is indeed very grand. Located in the heart of Nuwara Eliya, this hotel is bounded by lawns and fir trees. The hotel has two wings and looks out onto some magnificent scenery. The rooms are all superior and very comfortable.
