“Island Tours” was given as a recommendation when surfing the internet. My wife, Barbara, and I can not say enough about the superb service offered by Island Tours. During the planning stage all our Emailed queries were dealt with promptly and the tour was tailored to meet our personal requirements. From the minute we stepped out of arrivals at Colombo Airport to being dropped back at the Airport on departure, all the arrangements made, ran as efficiently as clockwork – the car and Pana -our driver/guide/translator, etc; hotels and visits. Entrance fees and the provision of an English speaking guide for the historical sites were all included and all at a reasonable price.

We had a wonderful time in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. The sights, the beaches and especially the people were delightful. We have many lasting memories and are planning to return again in July 2005 to take in Esala Perahera at Kandy. We shall of course be making the arrangements with Nilanka Pieris and Island Tours who we highly recommend to our friends and fellow travelers. The local expertise of the company and their knowledge of the sights, hotels, resorts and the Sri Lankan way of life proved invaluable.
